Born February 28, 1996

Since graduating from Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art and Design in 2019 with a BA Honours Degree in Fine Art, I continue my practice as an artist in my own studio, situated in the city centre of Glasgow, Scotland.  Working independently has aided my understanding of the more practical aspects that come with being an artist. In many ways I have found my experience to be a constant learning process. I have achieved a considerable amount in my time as a practicing artist.

Selling through online galleries in London, Oxford and Japan has lead me to a better awareness of selling work as an artist. My paintings have been purchased by individuals and businesses across the UK, Europe, USA and Australia.

Glasgow Times  'One of the Scottish art world's hottest new talents...'

SKT Spaces  'her patterns are a testament to flux. Informed by a deep sense of intuition, spirituality and landscape, Grady is an artist that never ceases to entice and excite'

The Scotsman  'Nor is there any shortage of ambition in Emma-Louise Grady's paintings... the results are certainly impressive, big paintings, richly coloured and densely patterned...what is remarkable, however, is that for all their intricate complexity, they keep their freedom and spontaneity.'

Artmaguk  'Emma-Louise Grady's large-scale, intricate fabric- like paintings are more about the free intuitive enjoyment of painting and dense pattern-making.'

Fleming Collective  'Emma-Louise's Grady has been awarded the 2020 Fleming-Wyfold Foundation Award for her majestic patterned works in mixed media which stand out for their ambition and complex beauty'

Dundee University Review of the Arts  'Emma-Louise Grady creates dense patterns of colour in her oil and acrylic paintings...her work conjures worlds within worlds.'
